Yes there is always an ex-professional hockey player with the campers on and off the ice.
All HHH campers are dropped off at Hockey Haven on Sunday @ 3pm. While checking your child or children into camp you have an opportunity to tour the facilities, help your child or children plan their week, and meet the staff. Pick up is at the arena (J. La Rue Arena) and it is the Saturday @ 10am following the drop-off after the week ending game of your child or children’s age group.
Our instructors have a different array of qualifications, but they all have two things that bring them together; their love for hockey and being able to guide young campers. All of our instructors, have strong playing or coaching backgrounds in the game. We have instructors that have played pro/semi-pro or college/university in Canada and the US; we also have instructors that spend the winter coaching. Our directors have a lot of experience and are selected for their talents and their merits.
Please advise us of any allergies or medical conditions that your child might have when filling out your medical forms. All our Director, counselors and kitchen staff are well-versed in how to create a safe environment especially around allergies. We are here to make sure all our guests and participants have a safe and enjoyable time so, please ensure we have up-to-date information and are aware of any conditions that might affect your stay. We are a peanut controlled facility.
A packing list can be found in Registration Info in the “Top Menu”. The link is a printable form under the name ‘Printable Checklist for Packing’.

Your child will awake to a nutritious breakfast and then head for their professional instruction in their major program sports selection. They will then return for lunch (which will always have seconds available!) and then receive 2 hours of professional instruction in their minor sports selection followed by an array of educational camp activities. Then we will provide a healthy and nutritious meal for dinner followed by some evening entertainment and a bedtime snack usually provided around a campfire. Then your child will have some free-time in their cabins with their new friends before lights out! Please see a “typical day at camp” for more information
